CareerRaze AI ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: name, email, hashed password (or Google OAuth identifier), profile picture URL.
• Content you provide: resumes, job descriptions, notes, offer details.
• Generated outputs: AI-produced text you request via the Service.
• Payment metadata: Stripe customer/session IDs, transaction status, amount, currency. Full card details are NEVER stored by us; they are handled by Stripe.
• Usage data: mode usage counts, timestamps, feature-level analytics (only if you consent to Analytics cookies).
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device info, log data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service (generate outputs, manage subscriptions, sign you in).
• To improve our system prompts and product quality (aggregate/anonymized signals only).
• To communicate about account, security, and product updates.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do NOT sell your personal information. We do NOT use your resumes or generated outputs to train foundation models.

3. AI Providers

Outputs are generated using large language models provided by third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic, accessed via the Emergent Universal LLM Key). Content sent to the AI provider is subject to their processing terms and is not retained by them for model training under our enterprise-tier agreement.

4. Cookies

We use necessary cookies (for auth/session) and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. Manage your preferences via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

5. Sharing

• Service providers: Stripe (payments), Anthropic / Emergent (AI), MongoDB Atlas (storage), cloud infrastructure providers — all under strict data-processing agreements.
• Legal: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• Business transfers: in the event of merger or acquisition, with notice.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account. Generation history is retained for the life of your account (or Pro-plan history retention). Backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.

7. Your Rights

• Access, correct, download, or delete your personal data.
• Opt out of analytics/marketing cookies at any time.

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, bcrypt for password hashing, and encrypted storage. No system is 100% secure — report vulnerabilities via the in-app chat with subject "SECURITY REPORT".

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 16.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries. We rely on standard contractual clauses where applicable.
